My family goes to a home church that has a meal after church every week… sort of a potluck deal. People get a chance to relax and have good fellowship. (1)

Anyway, among other undisclosed food dishes, there was an ice cream cake, which I was thrilled about. There was also a vegetable tray that I was less thrilled about, but to make my mom happy, I grabbed a few (quite small I might add) mini carrots. I got a small plop of Ranch-Onion dip to dip my fore-mentioned carrots in (this would be my biggest mistake of the day.)

To make a long story short, the vegetable dip and whipped cream (from the ice cream cake) got mixed up and I didn’t notice it. I took a big bite of white fluff, and almost threw-up. I sat there, looking at my friend in horror, wondering what I had just done. I then remembered the vegetable dip and realized my mistake.

So, mental note to self: Always keep vegetable dip and whipped cream separate.

1. Christians like to call hanging-out “fellowship.” It sounds more spiritual.

So, I’m doing a math lesson today and I come across this problem:

When the pilgrims counted noses, they got a count that was 128% too high. If they counted 9120 noses, what was the correct count?

I’m looking at that going, “Where the heck did that come from?”

And for all the morbidly curious… the answer is 6000.

I almost always am inclined to ponder a little bit harder about all kinds of things after I read someone new’s blog and their own posts. There are some excellent mind food blogs around and I sure do feel like I have had a decent helping here reading through your site. I essentially wound up here through Bing when I was doing some online research for some course work which I should probably be working on.
