I was reading an article tonight about the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois tonight. Here was a piece I found especially humerous.
As Reutimann hunted Gordon down for the lead, his team came on the radio and encouraged him to wait for Gordon to make a mistake.
“Are you kidding?” Reutimann joked. “He’s Jeff Gordon. When’s he going to make a mistake?”
David Reutimann eventually did pass Jeff Gordon for lead with about 50 laps to go and went on to capture his second career win.
Anyway, I found it amusing. Jeff is my favorite driver so I wished he could have won, but I’m a fan of David to so it was good to see him win.

It was a fake… it was a scam… it makes me rather mad. I was taken. I don’t think that the guy ever even had the computer.
When the auction originally closed he asked us to allow him the full shipping time 7-8 business days. After that we never heard a thing from him. The estimated arrival date came and went and still nothing. He was messaged several times but never answered.
Anyway, it’s a mess. I really had no way of knowing it was a scam, as he had acquired over 50 transactions as a seller – all positive. I’ll get my money back because I paid with PayPal, but it’s still pretty irritating.
You hear about these things happening, but you never expect them to happen to you… 
My family is dog-sitting for another family that is in Wisconsin helping a family member through some serious health issues. (if anyone wants to pray for them, I’m sure that they would appreciate that) They have two dogs: Yukon (the brown one) and Sonora (the white one).
Anyway, when we got up this morning, Sonora (who resides in a pen we built for her) was on top of the roof! The roof is an old trampoline canvas (like the part you jump on) stretched across the pen and attached using only trampoline springs (yes, we’re brilliant). She had apparently decided to jump up on top the roof and just sit there.
I think the she must have seen tons of Peanuts videos at her owner’s house, and just wanted to try it out herself. I don’t know… I think she should let Snoopy keep that trick.
Today I got the email I’ve been waiting for… the one informing me that I had completed my logo project to the client’s satisfaction. I can’t tell you what a relief that was. I have spent much longer than I thought I was going to on this, and it was getting to be a pretty stressful project.
But anyway, I got to invoice him, so yeah… it’s over. It made me some good money and gave me lots of experience. Plus, who knows, I may get some stuff to put on my portfolio.
Boy, I’m glad that’s over with.
I frequent a Christian guitar forum, and came across this post a couple of months ago. It’s hilarious. (In fact, I can’t believe I’m just now posting it) If you’ve played guitar, then you know how hard it is to keep track of your picks. The thread that contained this post was asking people where they commonly find their lost picks. This was one of the posts.
Those picks that you never find again have gone on to heaven. You’ll be reunited with them there. Along with missing socks, the odd car key, and all the nuts and bolts you couldn’t find again when you were repairing the car.
All I know is that when I get to heaven, there will be about 500 picks waiting for me.
